Playing offline (the default)
By default, your game progress is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. You can play the entire game without signing in. Note that ads, analytics, and crash reporting (described below) still operate while you are online, since they don't require an account.
Cloud saves via Google Play Games (optional)
DeepForge Idle offers an optional cloud-save feature. If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games:
- Google provides the game with a pseudonymous Play Games player ID that lets the game recognize your saved game. We do not receive your name, email address, or Google password.
- Your game save data is stored in our backend (Google Cloud Firestore), keyed to your account, so you can restore it on a new device or after reinstalling.
- This save data is used solely to sync and restore your progress. It is not used for advertising or profiling and is not shared with anyone else.
Sign-in is entirely up to you. You can play without it, sign out anytime, or delete your account and cloud save (see “Data retention & deletion”).
Advertising
Ads in the game are completely optional and never forced. You choose whether to watch them, for example a rewarded video that grants in-game currency, served through Google AdMob. To serve and cap ads, Google may use your device's advertising identifier and ad interaction data. Google's use of this data is governed by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and limit ad personalization, in your device's Google/Ads settings.
Analytics & crash reporting
We use Google/Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is used (for example, which features are played and how sessions progress) and Firebase Crashlytics to detect and diagnose crashes. These are tied to a random, app-generated identifier and pseudonymous device/app details, not to your name or email. This helps us fix bugs and improve the game.
In-app purchases
The game may offer optional purchases of in-game currency (gems). Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; we do not receive or store your payment card details. No purchase ever yields a randomized or chance-based reward.
How Google handles this data
Google Play Games, AdMob, Firestore, Analytics, and Crashlytics are provided by Google, whose handling of the data above is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. All data exchanged with these services is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Data retention & deletion
You are in control of your data:
- Local save: uninstalling the app removes it from your device.
- Delete in-app: in the game, go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete your cloud save and sign-in account and erase local progress.
- Delete without the app: visit our account deletion page to request deletion by email if you can no longer open the app. We process requests within 30 days and confirm when complete.
- Advertising & analytics: reset/delete your advertising ID and limit ad personalization in your device settings. Crash and analytics data are retained per Google's standard windows.
- You may also email [email protected] with any data request.
Online features
DeepForge Idle is built to be playable offline, and that isn't changing. Some features may work only while online or while signed in. Where that's the case:
- Core gameplay stays playable without an account or connection.
- Anything tied to your sign-in uses the same pseudonymous IDs described above, not your name or email.
- If an online feature ever needs a new category of data, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data Safety listing before it ships, and where required ask for your consent in-app.
This website: cookies & consent
The amIpicky website (including this page) sets no tracking cookies by default and loads no third-party trackers. When you first visit, a small notice asks whether you'd like to allow anonymous analytics:
- Essential only: nothing beyond what's needed to serve the pages. This is the default, and everything works.
- Allow analytics: permits privacy-respecting, anonymous usage analytics on this site so we can see what's useful and improve it. No analytics run unless you choose this.
- Your choice is stored on your device (browser
localStorage, keyaip-consent) and never leaves your browser. Change it anytime via the Privacy choices link in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Network access
The app requests the Internet permission to support optional ads, analytics/crash reporting, and optional Play Games sign-in and cloud saves. Core gameplay remains fully playable offline.
Children
DeepForge Idle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children. It offers optional ads and uses analytics as described above, and Google Play Games sign-in requires a Google account subject to Google's own age requirements.
Changes to this policy
Updates will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes and reflected in the app's Google Play Data Safety listing.
